Episode Description:

Lateral shifts are a common clinical presentation that can respond to specific treatment

Louis Gifford had public criticisms of the push to correct a lateral shift due to the thoughts it was an adaptive response early on.

Some still recommend these are dealt with immediately and there is little time to consider this adaptive and for it to be left alone.

So what do we do?

When may it be adaptive and best left alone?

When may "correcting" the shift be the best choice?

Tune in to this week's episode of the Modern Pain Podcast and find out.
